264: Being The Banker Of Your Own Life

March 31, 2018

We'd like to bring you the final episode of this session in the talks that we were doing about being an actor and actress and directing your own movie of your life. This has been a series that I felt I needed to get off my chest because it was to do with the death of my own son and how his death had an impact on me as a person in my whole soul searching that followed and the many realizations that followed.

It portrays the story of being the actor, the actress in our lives and then moving on to be the director of your life and then moving on to be the financier of your life. But now, we want to take a look into the deep aspect of being the banker, of having the money to finance these kinds of things and what it means not only to direct your life, but if you own your life and the kind of shots that you can call when you own your own life and what you can do. And it's quite an amazing journey.

What is really interesting about this is, if you've been following along and if you had listened to the origin of this discourse, as it were, you would remember that I mentioned that what spawned a lot of this spiritual searching for me was the death of my first son, Ryan. He died at four months old, on my birthday. And it caused me to ask all kinds of questions about, who am I and why am I here, why was he born, why did he die, where is he now, and could I have prevented us? And what was it all about? What's the bigger picture that's going on here? Well, to place that into the analogy now that we're speaking of, to place it into the picture that we're painting of this being one classic drama that's going on, this being one fantastic illusion that's been created, and that everybody contributes to that illusion. Our children and force and enhanced and confirm the illusion for us.

We confirm the illusion for our children. We confirm the illusion for our brothers and our sisters and our friends and our co-workers. We confirm everything for everybody else. Everybody confirms everything for everybody. That's how fantastic this drama is. It's how fantastic this illusion is. It's how amazing this dream scape is. It is how expert we are at making movies. We are the best, because we make it so believable that even we ourselves believe it, and we forgot where the stage door is. So, we spoke about being the financier and how being the financier of the studio has power over the director and his power over the actors and actresses and all of that. In this hierarchy, we become more and more distanced from what actually goes on in the actual script itself.

So, to personalize this for myself (and everybody will have their own personal understanding of this), but for me, when my son Ryan died on my birthday, the financier didn't know (or care) about that. At the level of the financier they did not concern themselves with pain or suffering or drama, or adventure and excitement, or loss that was going on inside the movie theater they were financing.

Now this might seem callous and distant, but when you think about it, if it's all cellophane and illusion in the first place, they know that, so why be concerned over something that's just an illusion, that they know is an illusion. The fact that you and I believe that at the level of the reality in the theater is our issue, not that of the financier. But you can see how as we go through these layers of hierarchy, now the director of course is concerned with the drama - who lives who dies, where the action is, where the high points are, where the tension is. The studio owner, of course, is concerned with that also, but not to the same degree.

In other words, they want to know that there is excitement in this, that there is something worth selling, that there is something believable in this, that there is action, that there is reality in it, but they're not concerned at the level of who said what to whom, when. And then when we go to financial year, not at all concerned. So now we want to now step up another level. And what we're doing here so you understand, is we're creating new layers, or levels, or planes of existence. Now, you do this all the time. I do this all the time. Everybody does this all the time, but we just don't know it. This is a plane of existence right here, right now - you listening to me, the person in the house next door or the office next door is not listening to me, and they're not in the same plane of existence as we are.

So you can see how we're continuing to manufacture our own planes of existence. How do we know this to be true? Well, that person may have cancer and may have been given six months to live. Who knows? That person may have three children, you've none. Their lives, their whole structure is completely different to you. They may believe in God A, and you believe in God B. They may follow this actor or actress, you follow somebody else. They may be immersed in this political party. You may be immersed... in other words, everybody's life is their own plane of existence,

So we step out one more level and we create the plane of existence where we are the bank. So now we give money to the financier. So we have the money to give out to the financier so the financier can invest in the studio, and invest into director, invest in the movie, invest in the actors and actresses. As the bank, we own the money, so we called the shots. We can say to that financier, I don't want to finance you anymore. What would that feel like at that level of creation where you are saying, I want to finance this instead. Let's create this instead. Let's put our money, (which is energy) let's put our energy, let's put our resources, let's put our creativity, let's put our potential into this reality instead.

Now, folks we are getting excited about the possibilities. We're getting excited about the potential. We're getting excited about who we really are, and what we're capable of doing. As the bank, we're really beginning to cream it now. We feel the power. We feel the power it gives us.

I hope you enjoyed that. You will find it is quite life-changing when you enter into that possibility where you look at yourself, your life, and realize that you are indeed not only the banker, but you are the owner. You are the owner of your life.

263: Own Your Own Movie

March 24, 2018

Own-Your-Own-Movie is part of the series where Ahonu explores the planes of existence in life and the planes of existence after death.

Over the last few weeks we discussed the planes of existence before life, the planes of existence we create during life, and the planes of existence after death. And you may remember we likened it to being in a movie, a dreamscape. This metaphor was necessary for us to get our heads around looking at our lives from a different perspective and to help us understand what's going on. Let's entertain the possibility, or, as they say in the movies, let's be entertained. Let's go to the movies. Let's see what will happen in the drama of our lives.

So, we've used the metaphor of the movie theater to build on this possibility. We are in the movie of our lives; we are the actors and the actresses. We are the movie, and we're such good actors and actresses we have made it all so believable for us and for our audience. That was the previous episode, and it concluded where we said we'd come back and explore the possibility of what it would be like if we were to be the director of the movie instead. So, let's look at that possibility.

Most of the time we are so immersed in our roles as players, actors, stagehands, we don't remember it's a movie. But the director does. The director knows it's a movie. The director is involved in every aspect of the making of the movie. So, let's step back from our perceived role as an actor, and imagine for a moment we're now the director. Let's consider ourselves to be the director of our lives, let's become the creator of our reality.

As the director, we've set up all the scenarios. We've ordered the backdrop, the lighting, the crew. We've created the atmosphere, the environment, the tension, the drama, the excitement. We've created the whole thing to give a certain impression, to give one actor a life of joy and happiness and another a life of difficulty and sadness or whatever, depending on the level of consciousness of the actors and the actresses.

Instead of being told what to do in your life, you as the director, call the shots. You say, let's leave this bit out, let's put this bit in, let's grow this one's character, let this scene be violent, that one loving. Let's dwell more on this pose, focus more on that detail. Let's bring out this characteristic in this actor because he causes something to happen in other characters.

262: How To Be The Director Of Your Own Life

March 17, 2018

Aingeal Rose asked, why do we age, and is aging a result of the mass consciousness? Ahonu surprises with his answer! This episode is a follow on from a previous episode called, The Movie Script of Aging, Dying & Death. In that episode we discussed the planes of existence before life, the planes of existence during life, and the planes of existence after death. You might remember we spoke about the possibility that our reality might be likened to us being in a movie theater; that our lives might be a dream scape. We mentioned this dreamscape was the same thing the Course In Miracles talks about when it says we should make our lives a happy dream as opposed to a sad and upsetting one. They alluded to this as being a dream.

This is what a director does. The director directs the action, directs the outcomes, tells the story to give the maximum impact. But remember, you as the director know where the stage door is. You as the director are creating the film. You as the director can walk into the movie theater of your life at any point in time and say, Oh, this aspect needs to be better, or that characteristic should be improved, or let's take the focus off that and put it on this.

Maybe at the previews you as the director say, yeah, you should have spent more time with your family there or, you know, next time around, I won't do that, or I learned this for our next movie, or whatever, but you get the point.

How do we become the director? Well, we first have to master being an actor. We've seen that in countless films throughout the years and through the history of Hollywood. We've seen how people just don't walk into the position of director or just assume they will sit in the director's chair. They come up through the ranks of being an actor, actress, and they've gone through all the different jobs in the movie making business so they understand how it works. They understand the stage, the setup, they understand drama, timing, voice, the musical score, they understand camera technology, lighting, location; they understand their creation. Most of all they understand how to make an illusion. What did I just say? They understand how to make an illusion, and they know how to make that illusion believable. That's what a creator is, and that's what you and I have done with this reality. We are the directors, but we didn't realize we were directing our own movie.

I now know I've been acting instead of directing. Until now, I've felt powerless to change anything in my daily drama. Many times I've handed my power away to anyone who will take it to make the reality of my creation go away. I did such a good job of it; I was so masterful in its creation I got lost in playing my part; I forgot the plot. I forgot that I was the director.

Now, if only we could somehow remember where that stage door is? Where is the entrance? Let's move towards that and step outside, even for a short while, so we can realize that we are the directors. How do we do that?

This is one thing Aingeal Rose & I like to do. We like to give practical spirituality in a changing world, and this is one way we do it, we step outside. If you go into a little meditation, you are then stepping outside the movie theater. In that place of conscious awareness in meditation, you can do all kinds of things. You can fly, you can walk through walls, you can shrink to the size of an atom, you can be in two places at once, you can do seemingly impossible things. Notice how these are the same things masters of consciousness can do.

You can do all these things because you're not bound by the confines of the movie theater. You are outside the walls of the studio. You can walk around, you can run. You can meet other directors of other movies. There's lots of other things you can do and lots of other ways you can express yourself out there.

One way to go outside is by practicing a method we teach called quantum jumping, where you metaphysically jump from one movie theater to another. You jump straight out of one drama into a comedy, out of one adventure into a thriller, or from a horror movie into a fairytale. This is an easy practice and you will love the experience of it.

We'd love to teach you. If you contact us, we will send you the know-how. It's easy, and once you learn it, you don't have to come back for constant lessons. It's not a long, winding journey and doesn't need much practice. It's a simple technique. Once you learn it, you've got it, and you can quantum jump all you like. You will have fun jumping into fantastic realms, having amazing adventures, and exploring exotic realities. That's what it's like being a director.

So, that's it for this episode. Next time, we will explore more of what it must be like to go above the level of the director. In our next episode, we will look at what it's like to be the 'owner' of the movie production studios. Let's see what's in store for us. Stay with us.

261: Life, Aging, Death

March 10, 2018

Welcome back to this session of the Honest-To-God series. I am Ahonu and Aingeal Rose is not with me today, but she is very much in my thoughts because she stimulated all this. It continues our promised discussion about life, aging, and death.

You may remember from the previous episode entitled, Why Did He Die, I spoke of my first son's death on my birthday. It was also his birthday - he was four months old to the day. We christened him Ryan Columbus because we had been traveling so much during the pregnancy, and he had also been moving around so much in the womb we called him Columbus after the great traveler. And then, we found out several months afterwards he was born on the day Columbus discovered America 500 years before; the day known in America as Columbus Day. So, that was his name, and such a long-standing impact did his death have on me I wrote a book called, The Reincarnation of Columbus that is now in the hands of a screenwriter to be made into a movie. We will come back to movies in a moment, but if you'd like a copy of The Reincarnation of Columbus book, it is available on Amazon, and you'll find it also at http://thereincarnationofcolumbus.com.

All this came up again when we were in California in a little mountain town called Julian when we were having some Julian Apple Pie, and Aingeal Rose raised the question, "why do we age?", and "is aging a result of the mass consciousness?" In other words, do we age only because there's a kind of collective agreement out there that we see others aging, therefore we expect that we'll age, and because we see others die, we die. And that resurrected Columbus and led us on to the beautiful discussion of the theatre of our lives.

Listen closely as I create a movie in your mind. Many years ago we went to see a Hollywood satire called Simone. Simone is the story of a disillusioned Hollywood producer played by Al Pacino, who creates the first totally believable synthetic actress, Simone. However, swept up by her instant success, including a major singing career, the producer cannot bear to admit his fraud to the world or himself. What we found interesting was the name Simone. It is better pronounced, S One M One, because it is spelled S #1 M - O N E, and pronounced Simone, but it was written as S-One-m-ONE, which meant that it was simulation number one. I don't want to spoil the story for anybody, but I recommend that you watch it because it's a beautiful construction, a beautiful rendition of one man's idea of what reality is.

260: Why Did He Die?

March 3, 2018

Many of you may know many years ago, my first son Ryan, died at four months old, on my birthday. Ever since then, I had difficulty on my birthday, whether to be happy or sad on that anniversary.

All during the years, I questioned why did he die? It was, in fact, what started me on my spiritual path, but the questions were never answered, until recently.

I was puzzled about why did he die? What was his purpose in coming to earth? Why me? And this question comes up a lot with parents of SIDS, the Sudden Infant Death Syndrome parents. They ask, why me, what did I do? And I remember going through that whole guilt stage too, where you ask, did I feed the baby too much milk? Was it too hot or too cold?

Did I keep him warm enough at night? Was it... the countless guilt questions that come up as you go back in time through your mind to find out what did I do wrong? What could I have done better, what could I have done to prevent this?

And then, as the days move on into weeks, and the weeks move on into months, the question changes. For me, it changed to questions like, why did he choose me to have this impact on my life? And I had great difficulty arriving at any answers about that, because, I wasn't a drug addict, or an alcoholic, or a murderer, or ... I didn't believe there was any Karma there that might cause myself so much suffering at the loss of my first son.

So, nothing was getting answered, and I was going around in circles. And then, the day came when I saw a sign in Dublin on the Royal Canal, and the sign was for a meditation center. It said, "Perfect Peace, Step Inside." And that attracted me because I was not having any peace. My life was on a path of self-destruction because nothing was making sense. There was no answers to anything, and I desperately needed that inner peace.

Well, it provided it to a degree, in the sense that, once I allowed my mind to slow down, then things became clearer and lead to more understandings about what life is, and what life isn't, and what the purpose of life is, and why people are born and why people die. It answered why we age and why we suffer.

All this came full circle today, when Aingeal Rose and I went out for a drive to a beautiful mountain town called Julian in California, about one hour northeast of San Diego. It is famous for its apple orchards, its cider, and for its apple pie. In fact, it's their big advertising campaign every year - the Julian, apple pie. While there, we relaxed, enjoying the beautiful sunshine before we headed back to the spring, still cold, snowy, frosty, weather of Oregon. Aingeal Rose asked me the strangest of questions. She asked me why do we age and die? Why do we age and die?

And I went back through the experiences of the death of my son because that was what I used as a yard stick to understand why I was here. Why he was here. Who I was.

Who am I, and why am I here? - This is the single biggest question we get from students and clients all over the world. We entered a discussion on being born, aging, and dying. We have tackled this before, but we never tackled it to the level, to the degree we're tackling it now. The reason is that it's such a vast subject, and it can be approached from so many angles and from so many planes of understanding.

We find this is true when putting up a video on YouTube, for example, or a podcast, and we find some people will say, fantastic, wow, I really got that, that makes sense. Or, that opened doors for me, or that triggered light bulbs in my mind.

You'll have other people who are so negative about it they are not willing to allow themselves to open a new door of understanding, or to enter another possibility of awareness or truth. Not that everything we say is absolute, or truth, by any means. We're portraying our growth of awareness as we, as we enter it. We report on it because we're aware of the necessity to understand our world, we're aware, and willing, to explore the possibilities. And this issue is huge in this world.

So, her first question was about the mass consciousness. Does the mass consciousness contributes to our aging? Do we only age because we see others aging, or that it's an expected thing to do. That's the frame of reference from where we were coming in Julian, in California, as we took on this huge subject. Little did we know where it would take us.

I will leave this with you as a little teaser because it is such a vast subject, we will have to, of necessity, break it into multiple parts. But let me tell you, we will look at the planes of existence before birth. We will look at the planes of existence after death. We will look at the planes of existence in life. We will explore the tunnel of light and find out is it a trick? And we will likewise answer the whole thing about aging and death.
